Unlike more rigidly defined classes like knights, fighters, spellcasters, and thieves, "trickster" is a loosely defined anything-goes class. One of the most common classes, the fighting style of a trickster is often largely self-taught, though it will often incorporate bits of various other styles.
One trickster's style will often be radically different from another's, but they do tend to have a few things in common. Throwing weapons like potions, knives, and caltrops are popular favorites, as are swords, daggers, and claws. Use of shields is rare, but certainly not unheard of. They almost universally prefer light armor, and enjoy flowing garments that help conceal movement as well as equipment, and allow for easy access to items and greater use of sleight of hand. They favor dexterity and/or magic over strength, and are often outclassed in strength and magical power, but make up for it with their unique styles.
